Dr. Aquil is married and is the proud mother of 2 adult sons a 20 year old grandson, 13 year old granddaughter, 6 year old granddaughter, and 11 year old twin grandsons. She has been in private practice at Nubian Family Chiropractic & Wellness Center located at 73 Ferry St in Newark for 29 years. She enjoys helping people solve their health problems by identifying the cause of their symptoms and creating customized wellness solutions that they can successfully implement to achieve optimum health. She is a member of the following Professional Organizations; Association Of New Jersey Chiropractors; International Scoliosis Research Center; American Black Chiropractic Association.
Dr Aquil serves as a Board Member on United Muslim Inc and President of the Essex County Chapter of Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence; Teen Advisor for The Media Smart Youth – Teen Leaders Program (NICHD) (2015). She also serves on the Newark Municipal Health Committee; Board member of Islamic Community Health Collaborative and former member of Bloomfield College Pre-Chiropractic Advisory Committee. A frequent contributor to Ask The Doctor Series on health issues particularly Gun Violence A Public Health Crisis (ICHC). She is a Certified NJ Department of Corrections Mentor to incarcerated woman. Dr. Aquil also is a certified member of The Foundation for Wellness Professionals (FWP) and Foundation for Chiropractic Progress an association of healthcare professionals who have volunteered their time to help prevent disease and improve the health of their communities.
